Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for one of our scheduled dives soon and you'll be on your way to gaining dive experience in our local waters. Welcome aboard.

Yesterday Louis mentioned our viz was 12 feet on Saturday at Deadman's Reef. Well, I was hoping on 20+ feet and I was really disappointed that we had 5-12 feet. I found the best viz was back on the inner reef instead of Deadman's. Plus DM's was surgy too with a lot of particulate in the water column. Bummer that the conditions went bad so quickly, again, very disappointing. It was so bad Louis did not use his u/w video camera. Plus Louis gave his compass to the "Surf Gods" too, they seem very hungry for gear right now, so be aware.

Current diving conditions around Laguna Beach. Not very good. The surf has not let up and running 2-4 feet, which isn't bad for going in-n-out, but for viz, it really messes up the works. I would say viz today should be in the 5-10 foot range. You need to decide if it is worth it, personally, I don't dive in less than 10 feet of viz.

Our plans for Saturday. It will depend on the weather. I see RAIN is in the forecast for Wed-Fri, so we will see how it goes. Remember if it rains on Wed, the County could issue a rain advisory. I will have more as the week progresses.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
