Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a scheduled dive soon. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Well, if what you are looking for is viz better than 10 feet and no surf, it will be a tough find today. I am not saying you won't find it, just gonna be tough. The surf is running 2-4 feet and the surface looks choppy this AM. But if you must go out, to "Beat the storm" then today is it. But is the "Is it worth it" factor good or bad?? You get to decide. We may not get rain down here in S OC tonight, but the forecast shows Thu night to Fri morning we are looking at rain. So even though diving doesn't look good today, it may be the last day for a few days.

Our plans will hinge on the weather. Don't forget to do your clock thing this w/e, daylight savings time. So what can you do if you cannot dive when it rains, or you do not want to get wet?? How about a Grunion run? Here is the link to the DFW's (Formerly the DFG) Grunion season, http://www.dfg.ca.gov/marine/grunionschedule.asp So if you are wanting to get out at night and see this, yes it does happen (Not a snipe hunt), it should be fun. I would think Crescent Bay would be a good beach for this. I have seen Grunion u/w the morning after a run, very interesting to see them. If you go out, take some pictures and send me a couple.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
