Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Welcome aboard.

Current scuba diving conditions around Laguna Beach. Yesterday "Surf's up" was the accurate phrase. Since the winds have calmed down, the surf is starting to drop, slowly. This AM the surf is still 3+ feet, I would call it 3-4+ feet. Viz is history at about 5-7 feet, if that good. We need the surf to drop down to 1-2 feet to get the viz back and that will still take a couple of days to get 10 feet of viz back. Louis & I commented on Saturday "What is with this every other Saturday diving issues??" We just don't like this pattern much.

I read what Louis wrote about the Pacific Marine Mammal center, good job. For those of you with children, they also have a "Weekly Summer camp" so if you want something different for your kids, check into it, good way to get kids interested in science. http://www.pacificmmc.org for more info. I liked the live cam they have there.

Our plans. Well, right now, it sucks out there. But since the surface is better than yesterday, I will stay optimistic that we will be able to dive by Saturday. Stay tuned it is early in the week.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
