Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Well, so much for trying to stay optimistic. Yesterday I called the LBLG's report and they said viz was 6-8 feet and surf was 1-3 feet. I also read a few dive reports and the general consensus is the viz is less than 10 feet. I don't get this, usually, when the surf is ok (1-3 feet) we usually get at least 10 feet of viz. But it could be because the water temp is a bit warm this week, running 70+ degrees at the surface. We want the water to stay cold, for the Kelp, which dies off at around 72-74 degrees. Plus it is usually better viz when the water is colder too. So maybe that has something to do with the viz, I can only guess. But today the surf remains the same at 1-3 feet. Viz?? Should be around 10 feet, in the best viz spots.

Our plans are for Saturday. Stay tuned and send me your dive reports.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
