Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a scheduled dive soon. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Well, I waited for the LBLG's recorded report and for Javy to get out of the water at Wood's before I did today's email. Yesterday the LBLG's report said 3-5 feet of surf and the flag was yellow. Today, they say the surf is 2-3 feet and green. But they say viz today is 6-8 feet. Javy, who just got out of the water at Wood's said viz was 10-15 feet. So now I am confused, viz has been crap all week long except at Wood's?? I believe what Javy says, so if you go there today, you will see surge but "Ok" viz. But to say all of Laguna is 10-15 feet is tough to determine. My best guess for viz today will be around 10 feet, better in some spots, like Wood's and worse in others, like Shaw's for example.

Our plans for tomorrow. This is tough, we've had more than a week of bad viz all around Laguna. The Moon will be closest to the Earth tomorrow, will this affect the viz & surf?? But with all of the negative reports I've read, except for Javy's good viz at Wood's this week, I am afraid SCD will be cancelling our plans for tomorrow. I just don't think the viz will meet our 10 foot minimum. If you decide to go out, tell me what we missed out on. This was a tough decision for me today, but instead we will plan on next Saturday instead. I will send out a txtmsg also, so those on that list will also know.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
