Good morning Divers!!!
Yesterday I asked if anyone had u/w compass issues at Deadman's Reef on Saturday, I got a couple of responses from people who did have some issues, different spots around Laguna. So I found that interesting, I wonder what causes that at times. I also saw some people were searching for info on the Black Jellyfish. Someone sent me a picture of one, I did some searching on the net and I also found out who shot the picture, here is a copy of it:

From what I read online, the bell is about 3 feet across and the main part behind is about 6 feet with longest tentacles up to 30 feet. Thanks for the picture.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The live cam shows 1-3+ feet of surf in the morning, but in the afternoon it looks more like 3-5 feet at times. The swell models show 3+ feet of surf also, with an increased S swell. Viz today should be around 5-12 feet. If you decide to head out, call the LBLG's recorded report at 949.494.6573 to make sure diving is open in city limits.

Our plans are for Saturday. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
