Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The swell models show 3+ feet of surf this morning and the live cams reflect that as well. The only bright spot I can see is there is only one high tide today. Will that help with viz? My opinion is, I doubt it. Viz has really been suffering with the high surf and S swell. Yesterday the LBLG's report said Yellow flag and less than 6 feet of viz. Today, my best guess for viz is 5-10 feet in Laguna Beach. If you find 10+ feet of viz in Laguna, drop me a dive report. But I think viz is going to be difficult to find and surf is only for the really experienced beach divers.

Our plans for tomorrow are cancelled. Louis & I have been debating and since viz is bad and surf's up, we're best staying dry. What is up with this?? We usually don't cancel this much during the summer, this usually happens in Feb/Mar when we get our rainy season. So we will focus on next Saturday instead.

I learned yesterday that tomorrow there is an attempt to set the world record for Skinny Dipping at Black's Beach at 1 PM. Part of Nude Recreation week. Register online or get there early to be part of this event. You can find more info by searching on Google. Like I said yesterday, always looking for the unusual when we cancel our dives. See you there??? Hehehe...

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
