Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a scheduled dive soon and you will have buddies to dive with and gain experience in our local waters. Welcome aboard.

As Louis said, another weekend with diving for us. I read quite a few dive reports. Viz was all over the place and we have to make an "Educated guess" on Fridays as to whether we will dive or not on Saturday. On Friday I got several reports of viz being 6-8 feet in Laguna Beach, even at Deadman's Reef. On Saturday it seemed to pick up a bit to about 10 feet and a couple of 15 foot viz reports. Then on Sunday it appeared to be better with 10-20 in some places. So it really depended on where you hit the water as to the viz you could find. This is how the S swell works, "Hit & miss" for Laguna Beach. I picked up a head cold on Wed night, so regardless, I knew I couldn't dive by Saturday.

Current diving conditions around Laguna Beach. The S swell has made another come back, running 1-3+ feet. Even with the tropical storm towards Hawaii, we are getting a very strong S swell. Viz today should/could be around 10 feet, you could find better at some of the better viz spots & worse at other spots. As I said, "Hit & miss" for Laguna Beach.

Our plans are for Saturday. I am personally getting tired of missing out on diving. So maybe it is time for pagan rituals or something. We need the S swell to decrease and viz to improve to make diving "Worth it". Drop me a dive report if you decide to head out.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
