Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The swell models are showing 1+ foot swell for nearly all of S CA, looks really good for Laguna right now. The Main Beach live cams are both non functional this AM, bummer. But from the various swell models and the S Laguna live cam, it is really flat out there right now. Viz should still be 15-20+ feet around most of Laguna. I usually don't say much better than 20 feet because Laguna on average doesn't get much better than 20 feet during the summer, again, on average. There will be the day here or there when viz will hit 30 feet, it just doesn't happen much during the summer. I did see that tomorrow there will only be one low tide, so 30 feet of viz?? If you can get out for a dive, it would be well worth seeing how it is out there. On days where there is only one high or low tide, viz usually improves big time. Send me a dive report, if you head out.

If you could jump on a dive boat, the conditions out at San Clemente Island and Cortez Bank would be very good, that is relatively rare for that. So between today and the w/e, that is a possibility too. Keep in mind for those driving to Laguna from north of Westminster, there will be a 405 closure for Sat night through Sun night, 20 hours from what I have been hearing on the news. So if this affects you, check it out and get more details. But from what I just heard, it is Sat night through Sun night.

Our diving plans are for Saturday AM. Right now, I am looking forward to another decent diving day. Tides will be in our favor too. So this should be another w/e where IF you don't go, you could miss out, don't miss out.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
