Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. I know the conditions are running "Fair" but come out and gain experience in our local waters because in Nov/Dec you want to be diving during our best conditions of the year. Welcome aboard.

For those who found out I have been in the hospital via social media for 4 days and sent me well wishes, thanks. I am home now and I will spare you the gory details and recovering just fine. Thanks to Louis for handling the email chores while I was away.

Diving conditions in Laguna Beach. "Normal for this time of the year". Surf is low running 1-2+ feet mostly and the viz is running in the 10-15 feet range. Yes, you could ask for better viz with the nice beach air temps etc, but get used to it if you only dive this time of the year. As I said above, get your experience in now while the surf is low and viz is like it is now. You'll want to be set up for Nov/Dec when we can get 50+ feet of viz in Laguna, yes, it does happen quite a lot in those months. If you head out today, drop me a dive report. I did not get a dive report from Javy last night, so I don't know how it was last night at Crescent Bay. 2 of the 3 Laguna live cams are toast, so getting a live look at Main Beach isn't possible online right now, sux.

Our plans for Saturday, it is Thursday, right? I should be able to head for the beach, but I cannot dive due to Dr's orders. But I enjoy hooking up with everyone and doing "Beach patrol". According to the swell models the surf should stay the same, in the 1-2+ feet range and viz should be similar to the Laguna summer average of 10-15 feet. But get your gear ready and be ready to dive.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
