Good morning Divers!!!|
Visibility: 20-30 feet
Conditions: Salt water, shore dive, moving to high tide, skall waves, surge.
Dive Buddies: Kristi. Total of 11.
There was something wrong with the 405 freeway near Seal Beach Blvd. I got off and it took me 45 minutes to get back on. I wasn't going to make the group so
I called Rich and he said we were going to dive Heisler Park. I got on the 133 when the group was ready to leave the mall and I met them at the beach.
The conditions looked good and inviting. We suited up and got into the water. We swam to the drop down point and descended. The visibility was around 20
feet. We were able to see everyone descend and Dale led the group to the reef.
Kristi and I headed to the reef a few minutes later and swam up the reef. The visibility was up to 30 feet in a few places. We made our way to the outer reef and
went up and over it. We hit a cold spot there and headed back to shore.
We swam along reefs and open spots and when Kristi hit 500 pounds we ascended. We were on course to hit the beach were we walked in. The surf was small
when we exited the water. The majority of the group was exiting when we got close to shore.
We packed our gear and headed to Husky Boys for food and conversation. An excellent day of diving and would be worth a second dive if I had the time.
Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
