Good morning Divers!!!

Welcome to those that are new on the List. This is the group that dives every Saturday (conditions permitting).

And guess what? Conditions are not good so we will be canceling the dive on Saturday.

The first reason is that the county has issued a rain advisory last night. They usually last 3 days which means it should be lifted on Saturday evening or Sunday.

The second reason is the surf is building up from the south. Swell Watch says it will be chest high for south facing beaches on Saturday. Another source, Surfline, says it will be 3-4 feet on Saturday.

Last Saturday we went to the beach to look for ourselves and the waves were 3-4 feet. At that time we canceled the dive and had breakfast instead. While eating we heard sirens on Life Guard vans racing by to Shaw's Cove. Later I heard that divers were pulled out of the surf by the life guards.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
