Dive Buddies: Kristi. Total 13.
I got to the mall a little late because of freeway construction. We had a lot people show up; about 16. There was a south swell a few days before and the tide
was low so we headed to Crescent Bay to dive Deadman's Reef.
The conditions looked good, but the fog was in. This would make it difficult to find the drop down point. We suited up and headed out.
Finding the drop down point was hard. I was too far out, but it looked like I was next to the reef. Kristi, Bijan and myself dropped down next to the reef wall.
The rest of the group were close and swam a few kicks to reach the reef.
The 3 of us swam along the edge and at the most eastern point, we swam back and into one of the canyons. We spot inside and I took some video of the fish.
The female sheephead were quite friendly and went up to the camera.
We swam along the canyon and then headed to the back side. We went back into the canyon and found Rich. Kristi's air was half way empty, so we headed back
in. We swam along the inner reef and came up in 15 feet of water. We swam in and saw Rich come up.
After packing up our gear, we headed to Husky Boy's for food and conversation. It was a good day of diving.
Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
