Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions around Laguna Beach. "Get out there". Yesterday I said I hadn't heard from Bijan how Reef Point has been lately. He wrote back and told me viz at Reef Point has been running as most of Laguna, in the 30+ feet range. But the interesting part was he said that out around 80 feet deep the viz was "Unlimited" (His words). Now to get to 80 feet deep you are "Way out there". For those of you who have dove the Corsair, that is in about 75 feet of water and the edge of the park boundary. So 80 feet is way out there. Hatchet Reef starts in about 60-70 feet and comes up to about 20-30 feet. Remember that Bijan goes down the steps, as opposed to when I go, down the ramp. But conditions are VERY good, 1-2 feet of surf, little water movement from tides and this means viz is 30+ feet around most of Laguna. In other words, you should be planning a dive soon.

Our plans. Dale told me he cannot make it today. But I still want to try to get those who want to dive today to meet up at 9 AM at the mall. Remember to leave for beach at 9:15. I expect 3-4 divers will be there. Decide where you want to go and then drive there and have a good safe dive. Then we have Saturday. Info on where to meet on the web page under "Directions". Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
