Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. "GO". The rain advisory was lifted yesterday afternoon, so you should be planning your dives. The swell direction is out of the W and pretty strong, but because Catalina is in the way, so we get a shadow effect from that, giving us less surf. The viz should be in the 20-30+ feet range, so pick your dive spots carefully if you want to see good viz. Plus the wind has dropped down but still strong enough to blow the flag at Main Beach towards the ocean too. If you head out, drop me a dive report.

Our plans look good for Saturday right now. Sp get your gear ready and be ready to dive. Stay tuned.

I only saw part of a news story this AM, but the media is covering a fisherman's catch of a small Great White Shark, about a 6 footer. This always bothers me because there was a lot of talk about protecting GW's and this one wasn't even full size and from the story, I could not tell if it had reached sexual maturity. But it bugs me that their numbers are so low and people feel the only good Shark is a dead one. That has to change. Like I said, I just got a glimpse of the story, but it appears to be somewhere around here, S CA. IF you find a link to the story, let me know.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
