Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. "You should be out there". The flag today is still blowing out to the ocean, stronger than yesterday, so knocking down the surf is happening as I write this. So with the surf running 1-2 feet (If that in places) the viz must be even better, 20-35+ feet, depending on where you hit the water at. So again, you should be out there.

To follow up on the yesterday's partial report of the beach fisherman catching what looked like a juvenile GW Shark. Yes, this happened on Camp Pendleton and there is a good side to this. After he caught her (About 5-6 footer) he got his video, and then turned her around and she swam back through the surf, hopefully, not much worse for the experience. So hopefully, she has learned to stay a bit further away from beaches and going on about her way. Good. There was another story about a guy who caught an 18 pound Lobster near Huntington Beach. The comment made was "I guess he doesn't know that bug divers around here are releasing the big breeders…" I have a tendency to agree with that, the bug in the article appeared to be a female too. http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/California-Spiny-Lobster-Huntington-Beach-18-Pound-Catch-Caught-235351671.html?partner=nbcnews

Our plans are for Saturday. Get your gear ready & packed up and be ready to dive. Stay tuned, but it looks like a good day to be diving.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
