Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new once again to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a scheduled dive soon and you'll have plenty of people to dive with and gain experience with Laguna's many dive spots. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The LBLG's report said diving was not closed yesterday even with 5-7 feet of surf, "..be careful while entering & exiting the water.." Gee, what kind if advice is that? Really? 5-7 feet of surf and the beach was open to diving? I really could not believe that. There had to be some other reason for that. I really would not be out there. This morning surf is still up at 4-6+ feet and viz, is non existent. Bottom line, you should not be out there. Of course, since they did not have a report for Monday, they did say diving was closed on Monday, a day after the fact. Something is up with them, I just don't get it, anyone have any info on that? Let me know. Ok, off my soapbox, sorry, but that one bothered me. Remember in 1997 when we had that really bad El Nino year? Nuf said.

Our plans. The air temps are on the rise and the surf is up and the winds are starting to blow again. So what is going to win out? I would prefer the winds, which knocks down the surf, usually. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
