Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Well, I was optimistic. Huh? This morning, as I write this, the surf in Laguna is running 3-5+ feet. So I don't recommend going in today. Let alone the viz will be crap too, less than 10 feet. Several of you have sent me links to the story of the missing person at 1,000 Steps Beach. I heard about it within an hour or so of when he went missing. Sad to hear, my thoughts are with those who know him & his family. I kept thinking the surf is very powerful and should be respected, whether or not you have your 90 pounds of scuba gear on or not. Stay safe.

Our plans for tomorrow. Well, with what I mentioned above, plus I asked some others in the group, we have decided the surf & viz combination is not "Worth it" and we are going to cancel our plans for tomorrow. As I mentioned yesterday or day before, it takes a couple of days of 1-2 footers before we can get the viz back to 10-12 feet. But everyone needs to make good, informed & safe decisions about their diving. So instead of diving this w/e, we are going to focus in on next Saturday instead. If you get good pictures of the surf, send them to me for showing to the group. Stay safe everyone.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
