Rich was sounding positive about conditions and about 23 people showed up at the mall. We headed down to check out Crescent Bay and it looked
good, but still some good sized waves came in. We decided to suit up.
At the drop down point we noticed the current was pulling us down coast and we had to adjust our position. When we dropped down and started
heading for the reef, Deadhenge was to our right and we followed it in. When we reached the reef, we noticed the water had a milky color which
decreased the visibility.
We swam up and into the reef and I found a small crevice and I stayed there filming. My camera would turn off after 30 seconds and I was fighting with
that. So I have a bunch of 30 second shots. I might have to take the camera in if it does this again.
After 30 minutes, I decided to head back in and a few followed me in. We hit the inner reef and stayed close to it because the surf was high. This was
the spot where the surf is the lowest. We ascended in 8 feet of water and got out without any problem. Packed up our gear and headed to Husky Boy's
for food and conversation.
Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
