Good morning Divers!!!

Begin Time: 8:50 am
Time: 34 min
Max Dept: 32ft
Temp: 63 F
Visibility: 12-20 feet
Conditions: Salt water, shore dive, high tide, small waves.
Dive Buddies: Rich. Total 12.

We skipped the last few weekends and today was the day to get back into the water. The dive conditions are normal for this time of the year. We
couldn't have the swim through today but still we had a good time in the water.

Rich picked me up at South Coast Plaza and took me to the meeting place at Laguna Hills Mall. We got there really early and a few new people
showed up. We talked to them and around 7:30 the regulars showed up. Rich wanted something different and with the tide high and ocean calm, we
went to Mountain Ave.

At 7:45 we jumped into our cars and drove down to Mountain. The ocean looked calm and we suited up and entered the water. At the drop down point
we descended onto a reef about 12 feet of water.

We started our search for the swim through and went back and forth along the reef trying to find it. We didn't have any success and we gave up our
search. We enjoyed the reef and saw a few interesting things. Rich saw an abalone and feed it a kelp leaf. Then he caught an eye full of a shark sitting
in a crevice sleeping. We got some video of that. He saw another shark in a crevice but it was too far in to get any video of it.

On our way back to shore we were hoping to see some bat rays but we didn't. We almost got caught in the reef closest to shore and surfaced next to
it. We swam away from that reef along the surface. No one had any problems getting out of the water. We packed up our gear and headed to Husky
Boy's for food and conversation. A good day of diving.
