Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for one of our dives and you will have plenty of people to dive with and gain experience in our local waters. Welcome aboard.

Recap from Saturday. It was good to be back in the water and Mountain Ave did not disappoint me. In fact, if you were going to join us and did not, you missed out on a very good dive. As Louis had in his video, plenty of sea life and the viz was up to 20 feet. I had a very good dive on Saturday.

By now, most of you have heard about the Red Tuna Crabs that have been washing up on the beaches since Sunday. Last time I saw this was about 4 years ago, this is usually caused by the water temps. These crabs are from the Baja area and if they end drift up here the colder water does them in. Plus I heard on some beaches that Sea Hares are washing up too, that seems unusual to me, I haven't head of that before, nor seen that in Laguna.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The surf is staying low for now, although another storm is S of us, we'll see how that pans out. There should still be decent viz around Laguna, 15-20 feet should be available around most dive sites. Surf is running 1-3 feet. I noticed on Saturday, even though it was mostly 1-2 feet, those 3+ footers would roll by once in awhile.

Our plans are for Saturday. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
