Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Just show up for a dive soon and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

I was asked over the w/e via email if we have cancelled a dive due to lightning. I was thinking that on Thursday's email that I should make a note of it in Friday's email, but since I am usually half with it in the AM while I write the group email, I simply forgot. But I had heard that lightning could be seen hitting the water from the shore in Laguna and there were several classes out there. I know this is something we usually don't think about, but after last year's death by lightning hitting the water north of us in Manhattan Beach, it is something we need to think about when the media is saying there is severe weather coming in. Thanks Darryl for the email.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. We still have a S swell, although it is much lower than the w/e. Surf right now is running 1-3+ feet and since we had big surf over the w/e, I will say viz should be average Laguna at 10-15 feet. I don't know if you will find viz much better today, but if you do, drop me your dive reports.

Our plans are for Saturday. I just need to pick up my tanks that were in for VIP and I'm ready. But let's see how it goes before I say we're on. So stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
