Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a dive soon and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

Saturday recap. I met up with the divers who showed up, but alas, I had a prior commitment in Temecula and had to skip the dive. But Robin was nice enough to provide me the dive report.
11 went to the beach
9 dove
66 deg top
64 deg bottom (at times)
Dropped in 48'
Depth to 64'
The Riviera was parked where we should have dropped down. As we were waiting for everyone to get together, looking down at drop point, the sand was completely visible. Viz was anywhere from 50-60 ft. No strong current below. Fish everywhere. Saw some yellow tale. Lots of schools of Blacksmith and senoritas . Swam around Deadmans. The group split up. Chuck found a sea turtle! No blarney! Lots of banded Gobie's, Sheephead and of course Garabaldi. In some area's quite a bit of Sargassum. Very little kelp. Lots of Sardines in 4ft of water. GREAT Viz! GREAT Conditions! Probably the best I've seen yet in 9 years!! GREAT Find Chuck!
Thanks Robin. I also heard from others that viz was well over 40 feet all around Laguna. Sounds like a great day to have your camera ready.

Today, surf is trying to sneak in, running 3-4 feet in Laguna as I write this. If this is like last week, then viz should be dropping. I'll stay on the optimistic side and say viz is running 15-30 feet today. If you head out today, let me know the details.

Our plans for Saturday. The weather is coming out of the NW and there are lots of winds blowing in and that appears to be increasing the surf. But we'll keep an eye on the weather and diving conditions, you get your gear ready and be ready to dive.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
