Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a scheduled dive and you will have plenty of others to dive with and gain experience in our local waters. Welcome aboard.

Well, we have been canceling a lot of our dives lately, but the surf is keeping us out of the water. Seems like just when the surf starts to ease up the rain comes in. But we will get back into the water, trust me.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Surf is dropping down a bit running 3-4+ feet. I looked at the live cams off & on all w/e long, still isn't flat enough for any viz. Several people who are either SUP'rs or surfers sent me email about how they could not see the bottom from about 10 feet, so the viz is still less than 10 feet, our minimum viz is 10-15 feet. Plus I see there are various advisories/warnings from the County in Laguna, check them out at http://ocbeachinfo.com and then you have the latest info there too. I hear out at Catalina there are a couple of spots with OK viz, 10-20 feet, but a lot of areas there are running 10 feet of viz too, so you need to pick your spots at Catalina too. So I don't recommend local diving unless you enjoy surf that is not ideal and low viz.

Our plans are for Saturday, looks like the rain will stay away until Sunday, but it is early in the week. So stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
