Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Well, the rain advisory is still in effect as I write this, although it should be lifted today. But there is more rain on the way today, so it will be reissued?? So your guess is as good as mine in this regard. Surf has increased to 2-4+ feet from yesterday. But viz still sucks to say the least, less than 10 feet.

Our plans for tomorrow. Since there is about a 100% chance of rain and the surf & viz are not in our favor, we can't dive, it is as simple as that. I said a couple of weeks ago to stay patient and I am trying to do so too. But don't make a bad decision out there, it is not worth it for low/no viz. What seems to ring in my mind was a line I heard a long time ago "Well it will be a good navigation dive..." Don't fall for that one, when there is no viz, it isn't worth it, period. An instructor I had many years ago once called it FRIMO viz (Facial Reflection In Mask Only), that says a lot. Stay safe and get other things done so you'll be ready to dive. We will focus in on next Saturday, so stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
