Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. More of the 'Is it worth it?' type of day. I keep watching the live cams in the morning and then in the later afternoon, the surf starts out ok, running 1-3 feet and then gets worse as the day goes on. This morning the swell models show the S swell is gone and surf is running 2-3 feet. Viz? That's the tough question, I will try to be optimistic and say viz should be 10-12 feet, might be better in selected areas. I keep looking at this using my thumbs sideways rating. Drop me your dive reports if you head out.

For those interested, a few of our divers are heading to Catalina to dive the park on Saturday and they tell me "Everyone is invited". Here's their plan, leave from Long Beach on the 6:15am boat return at 5pm, remember to book through the Catalina Express online and book the Commodore Lounge for the return trip only, worth the few extra bucks to not wait in the that long line and have a guaranteed inside seat. If you need more info, drop me a reply and I'll hook you up with those going.

There seems to be a lot in the news for wildlife lately, everything from Pilot Whales down in Baja to stupid tourist things here locally and around the country, which leads me to believe that in some of these cases, "You can't fix stupid". You have to just see some of these stories and you'll see what I mean.

Our plans are to attempt to stay optimistic for local diving on Saturday. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
