Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a dive, conditions permitting, and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Sucks. Yesterday when I got home, I watched the live cams, the S Laguna cam showed surf running 10-12 feet, easy. The Main Beach cam showed surf easily running 8 feet. This morning, it is quite different, Main Beach shows fairly low, yet the swell models still show 5-7+ feet. Regardless, viz will be bad today, 5-6 feet. Don't fall into the idea of a 'Navigational dive' that idea doesn't fly very well, if you want to dive in bad viz and low surf that is one thing, but to call it that, I just don't buy that phrase. Each of us has to make a decision we can dive with, everyone has different standards, SCD just prefers viz of 10-15 feet as a minimum. That is because we usually have new divers with us and we need to be able to see them, quite simple. But it just is bad out there. I don't know if from the swell models the surf will build again, or whether it will stay lower, we'll see.

As I said yesterday, we have canceled our dive plan for tomorrow. So we will focus in on next Saturday. So stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
