Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Join us, conditions permitting, and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

Current scuba diving conditions in Laguna Beach. When I looked at the swell models I saw a lot of dark blue and thought, "Hey, that's a good sign!!" But then I saw it was on the 2 foot scale, that is not a good sign. Surf is only 1-3 feet right now, I saw yesterday afternoon on the live cams the surf was up at 2-4+ feet and it was still an hour before high tide and the surf was going past the old lifeguard tower. So viz is bad at 5-7 feet if you can get that. Plus I heard from Ruth who said Catalina's u/w part is around 10 feet too, thanks Ruth. So where to dive???? Not around here.

Our plans are toast for the Saturday. I just checked the swell forecast, surf will stay high today through Monday, with heights of 2-6 feet, decreasing somewhat late Monday. Viz??? Forget about it.... We'll stay focused on next Saturday. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
