Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a scheduled dive and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

I noticed on our Saturday dive, the top of Deadman's Reef had about 20 feet of viz while at deeper depths the viz dropped down to about 10 feet, with 1-3+ feet of surf. Was it worth it? At the time I was thinking 'thumbs sideways' but it did feel good to be back in the water. We had an encounter with a Horn Shark and a nice sized Halibut. When we made our way to the Husky Boy for lunch, it was busy there.

Current scuba diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The swell/surf is running 1-4 feet and viz should be typical Laguna at 10-15 feet. Everyone needs to decide what they want for surf & viz, just remember to listen to that voice in your head, if your voice is reconsidering the dive, simple, just don't go in. Send me your dive reports if you head out today.

Our plans are for Saturday. The good news is that on Saturday there will only be one high tide, that means little water movement, could that result in better viz? We'll see. I see the surf will build a bit for tomorrow and then start dropping down on Thursday, plan accordingly. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
