Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. We don't have any signs of a S swell, as a result, the viz has picked up. According to a few dive reports I read, Shaw's Cove had up to 20 feet of viz, GREAT!!! Plus the surf there was 1-2 feet. The NW swell has picked up, but we have the Channel Islands and they create a surf shadow that protects Laguna fairly well. Today it looks like 1-3 feet of surf on the swell models, so it will depend on the site you choose for your dive spot. But it looks like conditions have return to "Worth it", good stuff.

Our plans are for Saturday. Get the gear ready, looks good right now. Stay tuned.

I've been watching the news reports on hurricane Matthew. Doesn't look good for diving, let alone being anywhere near that area. Remember if you plan a dive trip to the Caribbean, that I always avoid Aug through late Oct for that reason, since you are paying good money for a trip, don't deal with hurricanes too. I usually plan trips for there in April. Makes me want to plan another trip, we'll see.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
