Saturday dive report:
Saturday October 23, 2016
Begin 8:10 AM approx
End 9:00am approx
Beach dive, 10 divers
Shore, waves 2 foot, min surge
North Crescent Bay, Deadman's Reef
Begin at 40' depth, 25-35' viz
Usual sealife, min-mod particulates
Temp 2-5 degrees above norm.
50' depth 15-20 foot viz
70' max depth 15' viz, 10 degree drop in temp
We went around back of reef, majority of time spent exploring at 60-70' depth. Less aquatic life. Reports of bat ray, horn shark and lobster, saw nudibranch.
Surface at 40', 3 min safety stop. Surface kick back to beach. 10 divers exit, 1 lost mask in surf. Wore mask on forehead, opps. Explained advantage of wearing around neck. Everyone split for home. Planned possible night and morning dives with Ran and Paul this week if anyone is interested. Give them my number. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thanks James. I couldn't dive due to a head cold, trust me, I've learned to not dive when I have those.
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. First, will the county issue a rain advisory, it did not rain much yesterday, but that is a decision the county will make today. Right now, the surf is a bit higher than the weekend, running 1-3 feet right now. Viz should still be good at around 20 feet. Send me your dive reports if you head out.
