Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up on a Saturday and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. I see the swell models are on the 2 foot scale again, yet Laguna is getting 1-2+ feet of surf right now, so pretty flat this morning. Viz today should be good with the winds blowing, 15-30+ feet in places. Choose your dive site carefully, if looking for the best viz.

I got a dive report from Chris, check this out:
Reef point night dive. Snuck in after the gates closed to get some bugs. Did manage a couple legal ones, checked by the warden himself. Surf was 2-3 feet but an occasional 4 footer, not a lot of power. Viz was decent, 15-20 feet and better in spots. Temp. Still low 60's. Lots of eels hunting and lots of sting rays. Pretty good dive really!

I've had the chance once to dive Reef Point at night from the beach. A looonnnngggg time ago, the DFW & the park decided to keep the gates open for night divers on an opening night, I think that was 1995 or so. I've dove it from boat quite a few times, but that was the only beach dive, they allow you to go in after the gates close, just no parking, so you need to have someone drop you off and pick you up. Thanks Chris.

Our plans for tomorrow are ON (with conditions like this!!). Louis & I are usually there by 7:10 or so, that way we can get to know the new people. Info on where to meet on the web page. So if you have not joined up with us before, or just want to chit chat, show up a bit early. I expect pretty flat conditions and good viz, we will decide where we are going based on who shows up & the conditions. We'll see YOU tomorrow, BE THERE!!!!

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
