Good morning Divers!!!
75 years ago today, Pearl Harbor was attacked, with the US entering WWII.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The swell models are back on the 1 foot scale and showing Laguna getting 1-4 feet of surf, surf will be varied today at 10-30 feet depending on where and when you go. Now I don't usually say 'WHEN', but after reading Kathryn's dive report, you'll see why:
Yikes. Just got out of Heisler. The swell looked fine maybe 1-2'.. as soon as we got to the sand to enter, (a bit after high tide @1pm), the waves started pounding one after another.. I'd say 4' with a bit of power looked like they were coming in SW. We talked on our swim out and said we'd exit diver's after checking it out on the way in. Yup. Ended up exiting @ diver's very easily. Explored the kelp beds @ 160-180ish.
Heisler Park
Max 31'
High tide
Surge: 4-6'
Vis: 15' a lot of particulate
58 degrees
45 min
She started her dive just after 1 pm, ended around 2 pm, so from this I can gather that the surf builds as the day goes on currently. It did sound like they made a good decision to exit at Diver's Cove, I've done that before too. So I conclude that the best surf/viz conditions appear to be in the morning, thanks Kathryn.
Send me your dive reports if you head out.

Our plans are for Saturday. Stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
