Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Simply show up for a scheduled dive, conditions permitting, and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. Above I wrote 'conditions permitting' and that applies for today. Rain is on its way in the next few hours, that means a rain advisory from the county too. Right now, if you could get into the water before the rain hits, the surf is running 1-3+ feet and viz around 10 feet, so not ideal to say the least. But in S OC, the forecast shows 60-80% chance of rain with an inch or more rainfall. Remember you cannot see the high bacteria levels, but the risk of getting an illness is much higher during periods of the county's rain advisory. http://ocbeachinfo.com/ to keep an eye on the rain advisory, which I expect will be issued later this morning.

Our plans for tomorrow are history, canceled. The rain advisory will last 3 days AFTER it stops raining, so NO, we will not be diving on Monday either, since the rain should last through Sat & early Sun. So we will focus in on next w/e instead. Stay tuned to SCD for more.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
