Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. "Seriously?" I think that is a good description of what it's like right now, as in it sux, more rain. The latest email I got from the County is saying that the rain advisory is 'Extended', I haven't seen that verbiage in a very long time. So as I said before, you have no business being out there in our local waters. In places around the area, the water can be like 'Chocolate milk', so imagine what the bacteria levels are like, not good. But it is very deceiving out there, surf is running 1-3+ feet and there are most likely spots with decent viz, running around 10-15 feet. I look it like the Grim Reaper is out trying to get you to "Come on in, it's nice out here" (That is only an analogy), but beware. Bottom line is, I wouldn't be out there with water like this, I guess if you had a dry suit & hard hat, you could go in, as long as your ears, nose & eyes don't get that water in there... No, just forget it, don't go in the water.... You get the idea I think.

I saw that the people who set up the Hotel Laguna 'Live cam' have been working on it, it hasn't worked for a couple of weeks. It is a bit 'buggy' this morning, stopping a lot, but it appears to be sorta working. There is a link to it on the SCD web pages.

Our plans already look bad. Plus more rain is in the forecast too. But tell me what you think, or if you head out somewhere off shore, I'd like to hear about it. In the meantime, stay tuned for more analogies on local diving and we will keep looking forward for some local diving opportunities.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
