Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The surf has dropped dramatically since yesterday, it was running 2-5 feet and now it is 1-3 feet. But the viz has yet to recover, it was less than 10 feet, today, I would say it will most likely be right around 10 feet, I'll call it 8-12 feet. So it is a bit better today than it has been for awhile.

Our plans for tomorrow. This is tough, I have to decide based on having new divers joining us, I hadn't decided by the time I started writing this and since I haven't read a single dive report of any viz better than 10 feet, I'll call it and say tomorrow's dive is canceled. We need to have at least 15 feet of viz for newer divers. I expect the more experienced divers will go tomorrow and I expect for them to say viz around Laguna for them was 10-15 feet. So even though the surf has finally cooperated, the viz is on the low side. What usually happens is after a long dry spell, as we've had, we get a very large turn out with a lot of new divers. Since we can't see them well enough underwater, you now see how I have to decide on. We'll keep an eye on next Saturday, if the surf stays low enough and Sunday's rain isn't bad, we should be in the water, remember I did say SHOULD. Stay tuned here for more conditions reports and our plans.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
