Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a dive, conditions permitting, and you will have plenty of others to dive with. Welcome aboard.

Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. I wish I could say "It's great out there", but alas, this IS Laguna. The surf is starting to build due to the incoming storm, running 1-4 feet right now. Of course, as the surf builds the viz goes away too, running 5-10 feet right now. I doubt you would find viz any better in the area. THIS SUCKS!!! Ok, now that I vented, doing better. But as the storm gets here, although here in S OC, I don't think we will get much rain, the surf will increase. From what I saw on the 3D models, surf in Laguna should increase to 2-4+ feet today and through Saturday. I don't like this, period. But if you are an experienced beach diver and you can deal with some surf & low viz, you could get a dive in today. If you do, send me your dive reports.

As far as our plans for Saturday. Louis & I need to decide how the viz & surf will be for Saturday, we'll figure that out today. So stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
