Good morning Divers!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a dive and you will have plenty of other divers to dive with. Welcome aboard.

I did some digging online for more info on the shark sightings experienced by our divers on Saturday. Wiki seemed to have the best info on the School Sharks, AKA Tope & Soupfin Sharks. These are migratory Sharks and they seemed to be passing through going north up the beach. I hope they were able to have some food as they went through Laguna, keep in mind they are harmless to divers and this Shark gets confused with GW Sharks more than any other shark in our waters. The ones seen on Saturday were 5-7 feet and they can grow larger. I know one of our divers said he got video of it, send me the YouTube link if you have it. Thanks to Dale for telling me a few years ago about Soupfin Sharks. Viz was pretty good at 20+ feet.

Current scuba diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The surf is staying low and the viz is decent, surf running 1-3 feet and viz is in the 20 feet range. Just don't overheat getting to the water today, dump some water into your suit before heading down to the beach. Send me your dive reports if you go out today.

Our plans are for Saturday. I see there is another hurricane off the coast of Baja and the forecasters are trying to figure out its direction as I write this. So stay tuned.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
