Good morning Divers!!!
Current scuba diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The surf is pretty flat right now, I'll call it 1-3 feet, with mostly 1-2 footers. Viz should be decent at 10-15 feet or typical Laguna for this time of the year. Send me your dive reports if you go out today.

Monday's eclipse, get approved glasses if you want to look directly at the sun. I heard one way to view which I hadn't before. Take a large pot with a dark inside and fill it with water and then you can see the reflection off the water. I'm used to using the "Pinhole method", but this large cooking pot was new to me. S OC will have about 70% block, we should be able to tell by the unusual lighting. I remember years ago when an eclipse crossed Cabo San Lucas, the lighting was "Filtered" and unusual, I can understand why ancient people thought the Gods were doing negative things to them. Enjoy it but take care of your eyes.

Our plans for tomorrow are ON. If you haven't dove with us before, we start arriving at the meeting spot around 7:10 or so. Info on where we meet on the web page under "Directions". We'll see you tomorrow, BE THERE!!!

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
