Good morning Divers!!!
Current diving conditions in Laguna Beach. The surf is a bit higher than ideal for diving running 1-3+ feet right now. But the viz?? I'm going to say it is still low at around 10 feet. Send me a dive report if you go out.

I received an email about the divers I mentioned that went into the water just before our divers went in. They also experienced the extreme current above & below the water. When they surfaced they were past Seal Rock and got out of the water at Emerald Bay, everyone was ok. It made it rough to walk all the way back to Crescent Bay, but they all made it. So now you have an idea of how bad the current was and having site familiarity can help you when conditions get really bad. Again, from the beach, there wasn't any signs of a bad current and divers who were already out of the water didn't mention it either. So this had to have something to do with the changing tide. Glad everyone was ok, I bet they were tired too.

Our plans for Saturday. The good news is that there will only be one high tide, so very slow water movement. But we're keeping an eye on the swell. Stay tuned here for more.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
