Good morning Divers!!! It's Friday!!!
Welcome those new to our list of local OC divers. Show up for a dive and you will have plenty of others to dive with and gain experience in our local waters. Welcome aboard.

Current scuba diving conditions in Laguna Beach. "Not" That is as simple as I can make it. Yesterday, I called the LBLG's report and it said surf was 3-5 feet and "Building throughout the day" and the flag was yellow, "..diving is not recommended." So that should tell you what the viz was, non existent. I found it interesting that there was only one low tide yesterday, so if it wasn't for the surf, the tidal flow was not very much. This morning, the surf is a bit smaller on the swell models and running 2-4+ feet. Viz is still less than 10 feet. But remember to call the LBLG's to see if diving is open at 949.494.6573.

I'm still following that rescue in Thailand of the boys in the cave system. One news report I saw this morning said a rescuer has been killed in the cave, sad to hear. I also heard yesterday that it takes 6 hours to reach the boys most of it underwater and 5 hours to get back out & 100 feet of depth in parts of the cave. I don't see how they're going to teach kids, some who don't know how to swim, how to scuba dive in a system like that. Do a search on it to learn more.

Our plans for tomorrow are cancelled. So we will be looking forward to next weekend. Stay tuned here for more.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
