Good morning Divers!!!

Welcome to those that are new to the list. This is the group that dives every Saturday (conditions permitting).

And conditions are not permitting. We canceled the dive on Saturday because of high south swells coming into Laguna Beach. There's been hurricanes hitting Baja California and the swells from those go directly north. Right to our Laguna Beach.

We have another hurricane directly south of us and it went west directly south of us. Now it's changed course, traveling east to hit Baja California. So we will get hit with south swells from this hurricane twice!

Today we have chest high surf from the hurricane's first pass. Starting tomorrow, the second pass will be hitting the beach. The swell will be bigger and it will be double over head on Wednesday. That high swell will remain on Thursday and on Friday it will back off. But it's still big being at chest high. On Saturday the surf will be waist to chest high. This is still too high for us to beach dive in Laguna. So we might be canceling again this Saturday. Another factor on canceling is that the hurricane might be bringing some rain at the end of the week. It's not looking good this week.

Rich will have more throughout the week.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
