Good morning Divers!!!

Welcome to those that are new to the list. This is the group that dives every Saturday (conditions permitting).

We canceled the dive on Saturday because of the big rain storm we had on Thursday. The county issued their rain advisory and it's best to follow their
recommendations. It should be lifted today, but don't be surprised if it takes a little longer.

It seems that I took our previous good weather along with me on my Panama Canal Cruise. I had good weather for the entire trip. But the seas were rough on
Thursday when we were getting close to Southern California. Our last port of the cruise was at Manzanillo, Mexico. This port has a wreck that is easy to dive. The
cruise ship mentions that snorkeling is good because the top of the wreck is 4 feet from the surface. It sounded like a good dive, but there were no dive shops. In
fact, the wreck is about 1.5 deadman's reef distance from the shore. There were banana boats around and that might have been an interesting way to get to the
wreck. I think it could hold 5 divers. You would be sitting with all your gear on a large inflatable tube hauled out by a motor boat. Once reaching the dive site, you
could just slip off and descend. It would be an interesting and fun way to get to a dive site.

Anyway, we are waiting for the county to lift the rain advisory. The rain looks like won't come back this week and we just have large westerly waves coming. We
should be protected, but they can wrap around the islands and hit our beaches.

Rich will have more throughout the week.

Diving!! DO IT!! Safely...
