[Main Page]

Here is a list of some of my CGI/Perl/JavaScript-programs. I have also been working with mSQL (UNIX) and MS-SQL (WinNT) so I can answer just about any related question, especially the differences between the two, and there are a LOT of differences.

Feel free to use/modify any of these for your pages. I will help you with some problems, but I have no intention of rewriting a whole program for free. But IF you come up with a good idea and I/we can make some $, let's do it! REMEMBER, these programs are AS IS and there is NO implied warranty of any type. Click on any file below to view it (Works with Netscape & IE).

Check out this sample of my display page counters page, it's all written in Perl, it's the 'discnt.pl', see the code below. Or see how to display colors with 'discolor.pl'.
I also have a Hex/Dec converter which is pretty slick, see 'hex2dec.pl' for the code. I see many users are looking for a Centigrade to Farenheight (Or Farenheight to Centigrade) converter, see C2F.html (Do a CTRL-U to view it's source code). I also have a BACKGROUND picker which allows a user to pick a background and then see how it is displayed, see the bgpick.pl for source.

Something interesting about how this page is displayed, if you are using Netscape you have noticed that the top text is looking sort of 3D, see text3d.js. But if you are using MS IE, the text looks like it is pulsating, see textpul.js. The correct script executes depending on which browser is being used, to see my script that does this, see binfo.js and then 'View the Source' for this page. That will give you more ideas how to 'Target' your pages.

This page is separated into 4 sections, Perl programs for Unix, WinNT, & Linux, and then my JavaScript programs.

By the way, the list below is also generated via Perl script and updates the moment I put new code on the web site.

Note(s):

When working with JavaScript files, do a lot of testing to make sure your scripts do not collide with each other. Sometimes a choice must be made to run one script over another. Files can be copied using the Right Click and the "Save Link As" feature. I have written and tested ALL of these for Netscape & IE.
