Jerome's Furniture - They suck!!!

See the photos below of my recliner chair and sofa?
The photo on the left is a 30 year old La-Z-Boy that has been
sat in 6-10 hours a day, again, for 30 years. The one on the right is my Jerome's
Furniture 'Leather' sofa. Yes, I also have the extended 5 year warranty,
but 'Gabby' from their extended warranty company said it was 'Normal wear & tear'.
On my Gray leather sofa, 'Mustang collection' the gray 'Leather' started wearing
off at about 8 months after it was purchased and turning WHITE?? So you tell me
Jerome (Jerry cares?) that the process of using a 'Spray on' or 'Bonded' coloration
over white 'Leather' is what leather does as in 'Wear & tear'?
I have contacted Consumer Affairs for help & guidance. I have
filed a complaint with CA Consumer Affairs, looking forward to hearing from them.
More to come, I'm just getting started.

Hello Richard,

Thank you for contacting Jerome's customer service. I am very sorry for the peeling of the sofa
backrests. Unfortunately this set is out of the warranty period and as the extended warranty would
cover mechanical failure and accidental damage, this would not be something covered under their policy.
At this time we would only be able to recommend contacting a local furniture repair company for possible
repair options. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns or if there is anything I can help with anytime.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.

Thanks,
Zach

Please see the attached Extended Warranty, it clearly states it includes cracking or pealing of the leather.

to me
Hello Richard,
I have been advised that we would unfortunately not be able to overturn the decision due
to the claim being an accumulation of peeling. They do require all claims to be filed within
5 days of the issue occurring. In this case the extent of the issue reflects that this was
not done within the time frame required. I am sorry for the peeling occurring and for repairs
not to be available. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns or if there is
anything I can help with anytime.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.
Thanks,
Zach

I find it very interesting that what you told me is NOT in the contract I
have, did you see it there in the picture I sent you? It seems to me that
Bozo service you use for this makes their own rules up as a warranty claim
is put into them. Well, I am done and now it is time to play hardball with
these idiots and Jerome's.

After speaking with a leather expert, I learned about "Bonded leather".
So I went to Google and here is what I found: ( https://www.google.com/search?q=Bonded+leather )
Bonded leather is a man-made material that contains some genuine leather.
It's made from leather scraps and fibers that are mashed into a pulp, bound
to a backing, and coated with polyurethane. The mixture is then embossed
to look like leather and can have the smell and grain of genuine leather.
Bonded leather is also known as composite leather, vinyl, and reconstituted leather.

Plus I also looked up:
Does bonded leather peel off?
Bonded leather is especially prone to peeling, made up of a mixture of real and
fake leather, so as to cut costs during the manufacturing process. Leftover
scraps from real leather products are taken, then ground into a pulp before
being stuck together, after which they are attached to a polyurethane coating.

Plus there is more:
How long will bonded leather last?
Bonded leather is not a durable product. Generally, furniture made from bonded
leather is likely to peel and crack within two to five years.

Amazing how a furniture company can call THIS 'Leather' when it is not.

Here are images of their own website for the furnuture we have. Tell me
where it says this has 'Bonded Leather' or something similar:
